I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW iPHONE12 and one of the settings it has displays a randomly selected archived photo each time I open it – kind of a neat feature. This photo happened to pop-up this week. It was taken in late September as I drove down Lake Michigan Road along the Platte River in Lake Township. Look closely, you'll see two fishermen wading in the waters of the river. How picturesque.
Here it is the dead of winter 2021, and this photo energizes me giving me hope that there is something to look forward to later this year.
My goodness, it took my phone to remind me of two world class opportunities for salmon fishing that we have along M-22 on the Platte and Betsie Rivers. How very fortunate. This is the lifestyle that is in the fabric of our region in NW Michigan.
Come Visit. Stay for a Lifetime.
